This popular lighthouse is a place of international pilgrimage and is known as having the largest collection of religious icons. Also known as the Lighthouse of Icons, it is part of the Studite Fathers' complex. The building is a ten-storey multi-purpose religious structure and museum in the shape of a lighthouse. With a panoramic view of the city, the Lighthouse is octagonal, recalling St. Peter's home beside the Sea of Galilee.
